Privacy Policy

Last updated September 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SalonBook ("SalonBook", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit ocmpro.com, create a SalonBook account, or book an appointment with a business that uses SalonBook. By using SalonBook you agree to this policy.

Who we are and the roles we play

SalonBook is a software platform used by salons, spas and similar businesses ("Businesses") to run online booking, scheduling, payments and client management. When a Business uses SalonBook to store information about its clients, that Business is the data controller and SalonBook processes the data on its behalf. When you visit our marketing site or create a SalonBook account for your own Business, SalonBook is the controller of that information.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed) or Google sign-in identifier, business name, address and time zone.
  • Booking details entered by clients of a Business: name, email, phone, selected services, staff, appointment times, notes and any answers to intake or consent forms including digital signatures.
  • Payment information: when you or a client pays, card details are entered directly with the payment processor (Stripe, Square or PayPal). SalonBook stores only tokens, the last four digits, card brand and transaction records — never full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages sent through in-app chat or to support@ocmpro.com.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure how the site is used (see "Cookies" below).

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the service: create accounts, schedule appointments, send confirmations and reminders, process payments and invoices, and run loyalty, referral, membership and gift-certificate features on behalf of Businesses.
  • Communicate with you: transactional emails and SMS about your bookings or account, responses to support requests, and important service notices.
  • Improve and secure SalonBook: debugging, analytics, fraud and abuse prevention, and enforcement of our Terms.
  • Comply with law and protect rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use client booking data collected on behalf of a Business for our own marketing.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share information with vendors who help us run SalonBook, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us:

Cookies

SalonBook uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme and language. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage. Businesses can add their own tags (such as Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel) to their public salon page; those set cookies under the Business's control. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the service may stop working.

How we share information

  • With the Business you book with: your booking details, form answers and payment status are visible to that Business and its staff.
  • With service providers listed above.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of SalonBook, our users or the public.
  • In a business transfer: if SalonBook is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, information may be transferred subject to this policy.

Data retention

We keep account and Business data for as long as the account is active. After an account is closed we delete or anonymize personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax or accounting reasons (for example payment and invoice records) or to resolve disputes. Businesses control how long they keep their own client records and can delete client profiles at any time from the dashboard.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. Card data is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors and never touches SalonBook servers. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. SalonBook account holders can update most information in Settings and can request deletion by contacting support. If you are a client of a Business that uses SalonBook, please contact that Business directly; we will assist them in fulfilling your request.
