Straight answers about the product, pricing, payments, security, migration and support.

Product

What is SalonBook?

SalonBook is an all-in-one booking and business platform for salons, spas, barbershops, nail, lash and brow studios, med spas, tattoo studios and pet groomers. It combines 24/7 online booking, staff scheduling, a client CRM, payments, marketing tools and a branded website in one subscription.

Who is SalonBook for?

Independent professionals and multi-staff businesses alike. The Free plan suits a solo stylist or therapist; Pro fits small teams of up to 3 staff; Enterprise removes staff limits for full-service salons and chains.

Do my clients need an account to book?

No. Guest booking is on by default, so a client can book with just a name, email and phone. You can optionally require an account, and every guest booking is converted into a client record automatically.

Can clients book with "any available" staff member?

Yes. Clients can pick a specific staff member or choose "any available", and SalonBook assigns whoever has the next open slot for that service.

Does SalonBook include a website for my salon?

Yes. Every account gets a public salon website with 10 templates, a theme studio for colors and fonts, logo and banner uploads, custom CSS and custom head HTML for Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel. Custom domains with automatic SSL are available on paid plans.

Can I embed booking on my existing website?

Yes. Paid plans include an embeddable booking widget (inline iframe) and a popup "Book Now" button you add with a single script tag.

Does SalonBook send appointment reminders?

Yes. Email confirmations and cancellation notices are included on every plan. Paid plans add 24-hour and 1-hour reminders, post-visit follow-ups, SMS notifications and per-notification on/off controls.

Can I collect deposits and charge no-show fees?

Yes. On paid plans you can require a deposit or full payment at booking, set cancellation and no-show fees with a free-cancellation window, and a manager can waive a fee for a specific client.

Does SalonBook have a waitlist?

Yes. Clients can join a waitlist for a full day from your booking page, and when an appointment is cancelled the next person is booked automatically and sent a confirmation.

Which templates are included?

Ten: Spa, Luxe, Bloom, Chroma, Lume, Honey, Solene, Shear, Paws and a clean Default layout. Every template adapts to your brand colors and fonts through the theme studio.

Pricing & billing

How much does SalonBook cost?

Free is $0 for one staff member and up to 5 services. Pro is $39 per month, or $29 per month billed annually ($348 per year), for up to 3 staff. Enterprise is $89 per month, or $69 per month billed annually ($828 per year), with unlimited staff.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Pro and Enterprise include a 14-day free trial. The Free plan is free forever and does not require a card.

Does SalonBook take a commission on bookings?

No. SalonBook never takes a marketplace commission, never charges per client and never charges a setup fee. You pay a flat subscription; your payment processor (Stripe, Square or PayPal) charges its own standard card-processing fees.

Can I cancel or change plans at any time?

Yes. There is no contract. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your dashboard whenever you like.

Payments

Which payment processors does SalonBook support?

Stripe, Square and PayPal for card payments, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay wallet buttons, Venmo via PayPal, and Zelle as a manual payment method. You connect your own processor account, so payouts go directly to you.

Can I send invoices and collect tips?

Yes. Paid plans include invoice creation and management, automatic retry of failed invoices, tip collection at checkout and QuickBooks invoice export.

Data & security

How is my data protected?

All traffic to SalonBook is encrypted over HTTPS. Card details are entered directly with your payment processor (Stripe, Square or PayPal) and are never stored on SalonBook servers. Staff sign in with email and password or Google sign-in.

Who owns my client data?

You do. Your client list, appointment history and notes belong to your business. Reports can be exported to CSV on paid plans, and the Enterprise plan adds a JSON data API for full programmatic access.

Can I hide my public SalonBook page and use my own site only?

Yes. Enterprise includes headless mode, which hides the hosted public page and exposes your services, staff and availability through the JSON data API so you can build any front end you like.

Getting started & migration

How long does setup take?

Most salons are live the same day: create your account, add services and staff, pick a template and share your booking link. Paid plans include a guided product tour.

Can I move my existing clients over?

Yes. Add clients in the dashboard, or contact support with an export from your current system and we will help you get your client list into SalonBook.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. Paid plans support a custom domain (for example book.yoursalon.com or yoursalon.com) with SSL issued automatically. You point a DNS record at SalonBook and we handle the rest.

Support

How do I get support?

Through in-app chat from your dashboard or by email at support@ocmpro.com. We reply within 24 hours.

Is SalonBook available outside the United States?

SalonBook is web-based and works anywhere. Prices are listed in US dollars, and payment availability depends on which processors (Stripe, Square, PayPal) support your country.
